NatWest Markets’ “attention to detail and huge care” across all its transactions – ranging from FI & SSA DCM to Corporate ESG – was the winning combination for International Financing Review’s (IFR) editorial team to award us “Sterling Bond House of the Year” in their prestigious annual awards.

IFR acknowledged that 2020, with its particular challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, could have easily undermined the Sterling Bond market and praised our tenacity in this context: “NatWest Markets called on its in-depth and long-standing knowledge of the sector to ensure this was not the case, with its careful shepherding leading to a successful conclusion.”

Carla Floyd, Head of Debt & Financing Solutions commented: “We’re delighted to win IFR’s Sterling Bond House of the Year award and thank all our customers who gave us the opportunity to work on these mandates. Supporting our customers to successfully access the capital markets plays an important part of how we fulfil our purpose to help businesses thrive.”

James Marriott, Head of FI and SSA DCM & Advisory added: “Thank you to the many customers who have trusted NatWest Markets with their key projects. We are proud to have worked on such a diverse range of strategic transactions across funding, capital and liability management – without the close partnership this award would not be possible. I’m delighted the hard work and commitment across the bank has been recognised with this prestigious industry accolade.”
